New resource from Our Hearings Our Voice

Our Hearings Our Voice have created a guide for working with children and young people (designed by children and young people). The OHOV members have been travelling across Scotland and to lots of different settings, speaking to groups of children and young people about what they need from the adults who support them. The findings of this peer research will form a guide which helps adults from all professions go beyond the surface and meet the needs of all children in or on the edges of care.

As part of this research, the young people at OHOV wanted to make sure they kept those children and themselves safe, empowered and in control of what they shared. They learned about what it takes to be trauma-informed, and we wrote a guide for adults about what this means when they are engaging with children.
